Community Service/Outreach
Our Community Service/Outreach initiatives strive to have a positive influence on the community through our work with youth, county government, and community organizations. The chapter also participates in the annual Walks for Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis.
Guide Right
Our Guide Right program focuses on preparing young men for leadership. We strive to inspire boys, beginning in 5th grade, to achieve academically and introduce them to varied professions. We sponsor activities and programs that will expose them to positive social and community settings.
Membership Orientation Intake Program
Membership is a solemn commitment. To this fraternity, the maker of the commitment becomes synonymous with the commitment itself. Your commitment is a lifelong dedication to the ideas and lofty purposes of Kappa Alpha Psi, which considers for membership only those aspirants whose personal, social and academic qualifications, are acceptable to both College and Fraternity.
Reclamation Program
Our goal is to reclaim additional members, promote a spirit of fraternalism, and retain reclaimed members in the chapter. Our theme is – “Each One – Bring One”. Our chapter moves closer to the day when reclamation is not a separate endeavor, but an ongoing consideration that permeates every aspect of our programs and activities. We encourage all long lost members of the noble clan to become active members of the chapter.
Scholarship Program
Our merit scholarship program was established to promote academic excellence among male high school seniors. The McKinley M. Hayes Scholarship is awarded annually to highly-motivated male graduating seniors with an outstanding academic achievement record, strong leadership qualities, and involvement in school/community activities.
Senior Kappa’s Program
Our Senior Kappa’s program recognizes those brothers with 50 or more years of fraternal service. They are accorded the highest level of recognition due to their dedication and loyalty to our noble clan over a sustained period of time.
